bob mclure exposed once again , amatuer drive into those fractions

Not to give Bob-o a break but track has incredible front end bias today.  All week guys were getting lost to the half but couldn’t hold up - although there wasn’t much closing from the clouds either.  Today was a different story - R Melina holding up after 122 to the 3/4 was something you didn’t see earlier.

Not a big Yannick fan but thought he dove the hose well and had him in position especially off that half.
They did withdraw the charity breeding so maybe there is some thought of racing at 4.

No f'ing way. Already announced he's going to Diamond Creek. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even go to the the BC.

A certain person also said Karl would go sub 150 in Lexington. Guess that didn't happen either LOL unless Karl is spelled Sig Sauer

The silence is deafening ngc3 ngc3

A legend in their own minds! He was not even the favorite and the winner was AWESOME parked out most of the mile!

Sig Sauer raced HUGE. He has flashes that could ascend to the top of the division.
Karl had ZERO excuse & is a mere mortal. TCI no showed. Highland got cooked & we'll see how hw reacts to that.
As most have stated this is not a standout crop.
I don't remember who the the winner...nice pick  tmbz1

Karl trained very well this week, but that's apples and bowling balls compared to a race. People are going to argue about fractions and trips and who knows what else. Doesn't matter. The Karl that showed up today was not even a major contender in this crop any more. As far as the race, I didn't like how HK looked today, and 8-5 or less, I hated him. I've been very high on this horse from before day one. He has a lot of talent, a lot of ability, but he's erratic. I got pretty close to him since he's been in Lexington and watched him on the track a lot. It's almost as if he just sometimes loses his mind sometimes. Like mental problems, where he gets to wired up, anxious, whatever. I don't know. Like he's immature and just doesn't show up. One day he chokes down, one day he doesn't show up, etc. Maybe it is Bob. Hobbles were back on again. Regardless, I wasn't going to bet on him at any price. If we went out and won in 49 and broke the world's record, so be it. But when I decided I wasn't betting on him, the race became a major play for me as I am looking to beat the favorite, unless I think he/she won't get beat, and then I look for value. There was less chance of me betting on Karl today, LOL. Sig Sauer and Amazing Catch are two very legit contenders in this class, and they were major overlays!

That said, with Karl, I have not been around the barn or the horse at all. I saw him train this week. He got lucky winning the Hambo and the best horse that day did not win the Hambo. Monster dominant at 2. Heads and shoulders, many months, steps, way ahead of every other horse in the class (except maybe TCI). At the end of his 2yo campaign, did he look like he was going to be one of the greatest of all time? To me, absolutely not. To the uneducated, uninformed, untrained eye, sure. Visually he looked like he was 5 to 10 lengths better than everyone, did it easy (visually), and so on. He looked like Michael Phelps swimming against college swimmers. Karl was # 1 and got to his peak first. This year, he didn't move forward, and everyone else caught up to him. Cumulative. He regressed this year, had some issues, etc.---and he got lucky---but that's why they run the races. Doesn't matter, the check cleared, LOL. If you are a good judge of horseflesh, really know about horses, have been in the sport/industry for a long time (and not just a casual fan or bettor), etc., than you would not be of the opinion that Karl looked like he'd be one of the GOAT. It's that simple.

In terms of actual worth, you are correct. In terms of what his stud fee will be, sadly, I fear you will be incorrect. Diamond Creek is not known for standing value, especially with their first-year sires.

Tactical Approach stands for 12k doesn’t have half the credentials as Karl. 25/30k realistic and book will be full and closed within hours. Been bleeding in Lexington and poorly managed by Takter. Will race on Lasix in BC.

Like I said on the other thread, I couldn't care less if someone picks out horse, labels him as the greatest they've ever seen, says they will be one of the GOAT, and so on. This entire business is about self-expression and opinions. Tell me Karl is going to be one of the GOAT, and sure there will be some ranting and raving, adversarial discussions, etc., and at a certain point, it's all BS.

If someone says Karl is going to be one of the GOAT, and the horse flops, falters, whatever, so what. It's just an an opinion. You can say educated or not, informed or not, qualified or not, whatever, and people are going to look at the author of that opinion. If Bob Marks says something, it means one thing, if Joe blow from the Dunkin Donuts says something, it means another. That's just the way it is. In the end, it's an opinion. However, when someone starts to play games, let's their ego start drive their insecurity, starts playing with semantics, and that graduates into insulting people, name calling, bullying people, and being nothing but a source of negativity and wasted band-width, then to me, good riddance. It's a BB. Why be an a$$hole. To what end.

Like my tag line says, a while back I decided.....which wolf do I want to feed! LOL.

To be honest, I had 4 cheap claimers at Pompano Park years ago. My partners and I lost a boat load of money but made a lot of friends. I wish I owned a horse half as good as Karl was. Maybe I would have broken even at least! LOL!
