The information I possess indicates that Eckley is a cover for G Nap, who has been permanently banned from training at Pocono, indicating fraudulent activity. G Nap is said to have enlisted Eckley, another alleged cheater, to assume responsibility as a trainer in case of trouble. Subsequently, they moved to the farm of their associate Simon Allard, where Akins trains for Simon, whose brother has served time for equine fatality and doping offenses. Essentially, it's a complex network of individuals accused of collusion.

Asserting ownership from this group seems to require courage, which is reportedly absent in the current climate, allowing their alleged misconduct to persist until the Commission intervenes, as they did with Eckley. However, consistent oversight is necessary.

It's been said in another forum that Allard has many trainer's in Ontario too. Those trainers are allegedly managed by Louis Roy. Speculation or truth is a question but very believable given this and the history of Allards and Roy

Eckley appealed but according to yesterdays FAS rulings (11/22/24) his request for a supersedeas was denied because it is unlikely he will prevail. He has to pony up $10K now.

Yes it’s very very hard to defend this guy but facts are facts.
1 If he was using a substance like this as they tested every horse in his barn not only one would come up positive especially a hormone.
 
2 The horse was just claimed and when asked to do a split sample the state miraculously destroyed the sample that was supposedly negative the day of the claim as he wanted to no a split on both samples.
 
The fact is if you do any good in this business you’re doing something wrong.
And when want you they will figure out a way to get you.

Dean Eckley is the poster boy for harness racing bad guys. Since the above incident he has been tossed from every jurisdiction he has raced at even Virginia.

Would be interesting if Georgie Nap got linked to him in the press and other entities, knowing damn well that one the top driver in Eastern PA was using this scumbag for the horses he was claiming and virtually became undefeated. You think he won't give a shit?
