The weanling, yearling, mare and EJ have nothing to do with the Howard issue. Selling 100% to get Novak out, Burkes group is done with Novak.
Burke probably had no intention of buying the horse but stayed in just to jack up the price.
Am sure like in many other situations they set a reserve. When the reserve was met, the horse was sold. Really pretty routine. No reserve was set, they had to physically enter a bid. Some bidders did have a high bid set, but Burke didn't. You can view the bids!
