Dover race 14 Another A Davis Special
« on: December 19, 2024, 09:08:56 PM »
TONS the best. Look at effort down the stretch! Sat behind and didn't pull right line till he knew his son's horse was home free! Raging with pace at wire! Plus, if he wins, he's out of that class! And the 3 blind mice upstairs' just watch it happen! Oh, and topper was his son's horse was the one that won, and he followed. Another classic stiff!

Watch this horse he'll be in this class for a while! Has 5 wins win #6 and you're out!

Even before that there wasn't much of an effort to get into the race early on. He was too busy waiting for his buddy Tetrick to pull in front of him, who eventually took him nowhere. If you watch after most races, on the way back to the paddock area, Allan and Tetrick are talking all the time like they're best buddies.

Exactly. If he wanted to win, he would have left instead of looking for a roadblock so he could close for 2nd.

I guess he can win when he wants. This horse was racing against some of the best 3yr. olds in North America
and was owned by the Cassie Coleman group in the same barn with Nijinsky. In fact beaten 3/4 by Nijinsky
on super night final 10/12/24 coming last qt. in 26 and a piece. Sold shortly thereafter at an undisclosed $$$., I'm
sure at around $200K. Just saying
he can piss on these Dover things however he wants, whenever he wants. My guess he needs to stay classified to
some late closers down the road.

Dover doesn't have any early or late closers, and their horses rarely if ever race other than in Delaware.

Slow down and stay in your lane gh2009
you will have your chance to get the $2 you lost because you were
clueless  and not with the program. 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

Why wouldn't  this horse race somewhere else? Any LC series does not
have to be in Delaware. The horse is eligible to many of the races, one in
particular is at Woodbine/Mohawk. Most likely already paid in.
   The New Holland n/w $150K in 2024. Starts 3/10/2025

First of all, I'm not a $2 bettor and think you need to increase your dosage of Lasix. If you knew the connections of the horse like I do, they're locally owned and purchase horses to race in overnight races and the chances of them shipping the horse to Canada for a series are slim and none. The purse of that series in Canada is $30,000 Canadian, which translates into only $21,000 in US dollars. I think the horse has ability, but still only has 5 wins in 32 career starts so he can't be all that good. His wins at Dover were against basically nothing horses. If you're a real good horse and race in Delaware all year, you're capable of winning between $100,000 and $200,000 and the competition is nowhere near as tough as it would be up in Canada. Now go back to sleep and whatever you do, stay the hell out of my lane!

I don't know about 200K price. Kinda lot for a groom to fork out a 1/3. But maybe she gets paid REAL well!  73cv.2

Sweet Angel Boy is just under $200,000 for the year. Mack had 39 starts with only 2 wins and made $150,000. Good horses can make nice money racing in Delaware all year so why ship to Canada for 70 cents on a dollar, doesn't make sense.

Exactly. Why win and race yourself out of a class that you can finish 2nd and 3rd and make good money. You can look in most nw certain number of races and see it, and most by the same driver. But it's when its blatant that blows wind under my skirt!

In Mack's case almost all his races were in the Delaware Special or Open Handicap for a purse of between $22,000 and $27,500. They rarely gave him any class relief even though he hardly even beat those horses, but he did finish second 10 times which is a nice check.

When you have Allan driving a horse in a race for someone, and Tyler and Brendan also have horses in the race they train, it's easy to help out one of their horses by staying out of the way like Allan did in that race. Btw, is Brendan Allan Davis also one of Allan's sons?

You forget about the Delaware-owned or bred purse bonus. They add from 20% to $40% to the horse's earnings on all their purse earnings. That bonus money adds up big time
