What was the actual problem?I watched the 1st. The nine stuck in its toes; was this something related to track? Could see the stretch had some drifting terrain..was that what prompted the cancellation?Legitimately asking..was it that bad up there?
The immortal Tyler Miller was on the #9 horse and went 54:4 to the half on a brutally cold windy night before breaking and interferring with several horses behind him.
Actually, I think it was his Dad. In any event, props to Boyd, Tritton, and Buter for good reflexes and control of their horses. If AA were still around there would be hell to pay in NJ.
They didn't pay out around $225,000 in purses. Do they make up the day?
