The owner had Rene Allard train for him for years.  None of this shocks me just because of that.

With over so called 6600 members i suggest that we all get together and buy this horse and just give him to SCM! Thats less than 80 cents per member!

Is it possible that Holzman will claim him since he's the one that said he had a forever home after retirement?

There are going to be at least 5 claims. The groom is claiming him because Singh is not a good enough  person to give her the horse

How much money has the horse made for his current owners?

He raced in cheep claimers in Maine in the mid 80s not much stock at that point. Should have been in a field.

I can pull up his lines and see where and when he actually raced, but I do remember when the Meadowlands got the call on this, it was discussed one Saturday morning at the qualifiers. Ray Remmen was the first one who said he would put up the money to buy him and retire him. Class move by a class act guy. I just don't remember if someone actually had to claim him. Phil Tully was involved and it was either him, Joe DeFrank or someone from executive management at the Meadowlands called and I think they bought him privately. I don't remember the details.

He spent his retirement summers in a personal paddock at the Meadowlands' Paddock Park and I forgot which NJ farm the rest of year. Remember, this tough old guy won the Hambo going three heats out of an potential four! During his retirement, for many years, he lead the Hambletonian post parade. After many years he was retired by the SRF and was sent home to the farm of the vet who originally cared for him and gelded him in Michigan.

He can still be claimed though because he was entered to race.

True, but would anyone actually do that?  How long do they have to turn over the horse?  I knew it was a thing...never heard of anyone actually doing it.

In his case, I'm sure there were several claims put in for him, so it will be the luck of the draw who gets him.
