WESTERN ERA in the 8th race. Pre- race sample tag number CV3570228 showed TCO2
concentration of 46.8 millimoles per liter, which exceeded the allowable limit by the
NYSGC. Ervin Miller is hereby assessed a penalty of $1000.00 fine and 60-day
suspension. Western Era finished 6th is hereby disqualified and placed last. The horse
WESTERN ERA must submit to a 6-hour pre-race detention each time raced for a period of
6 months, 10/15/2024 through 4/15/2025 without regard to whether the horse is transferred
to a new owner or trainer. During the term of suspension, Ervin Miller, will be denied the
privilege of and access to all grounds under the supervision of the NYSGC.No trainer

WHY DID THEY WAIT NEARLY 3 MONTHS???.

I know for a fact-that in some racing jurisdictions-they do pre race CO2 testing and post the results on the notice board BEFORE the races start.Thats helpful for the bettors-and high Co2 are scratched BEFORE the race.

What about the horse Miller raced between OCT 15 and now?? Yonkers doesnt prerace test all horses in a race-in fact--not many at all---so for all we know-MILLER has been racing every horses loaded to the gills with baking soda!!


Want a solution?? Here it is---get the Vet on duty to test every horse before the races start- he gives most Lasix anyway-so just do it then--a tCo2 analyzer isnt that expensive-I asked my Vet. Print the results(in fact the machine does this anyway) post the results-and everyone is the wiser-the betting public happy-integrity enhanced-and no more cheating advising which horses/race are being tested etc Im told this has happened in the past.)

TCO2 isn't just an overage like banamine, bute and lasix. TCO2 is most likely an attempt to enhance performance, in other words, CHEAT!  Some trainers are masters at keeping it under the limit but if you are gasing your horses, you are cheating.  I like the stiff  penalty and I would be checking all of his horses before every race.  Bet  his statistics would tank.

But there is very low CAW play there. Gamblers are way better off betting with wild west drugs and corruption than severe CAW impact at places like the meadowlands

I did read your post and that is why I commented and yes I agree that it doesn't have to be like that. Like many on here there are many tracks on my DO NOT WAGER list and Yonkers is on the top of that list for a multitude of reasons. Drugs, corruption and horrible racing product.
