Wonder how injured he is?

Vet that sign scratch note should be investigated for obstruction of a claim and trainer fined for failure to honor declaration!

Thats if he's not injured.

If claims were in he has to present horse within 24hrs to track and the person gets the option to take or not.

Stop crying because you couldn’t claim a 15 yr old super star to run down in amateur races, he doesn’t need that if someone wanted to claim him it should have been to turn him out for the rest of his days, I’m glad they are not forced to upheld the claim you people are Morons to even think of claiming him to race anywhere! Get over it, let him live retired and in peace and please grow the F up!

??. "grow the f up". Really?

If he liked racing this year then why wouldn't he next year in amateur races.

For those of you who asked for more details, he went to a farm in South Lyon, MI that belongs to a long-time friend of the owner.  His shoes were pulled and he was loaded on the trailer after he was scratched. Upon arrival he was greeted with a birthday/retirement cupcake which he did not appreciate. Many suggestions were made for his barn name, but it remains "Amazon." That's all I know.

So why did they try to race him in a 5 claimer, his last race?

 Something isn't adding up

So the owner knew of a farm to have retire at but still pulled the claim BS?

So did someone talk some sense into them or?
It's a great game, if you have the means to play

If they entered him for $5000 knowing he'd be claimed, they probably wanted to get rid of the horse so they don't have to care for him the rest of his life. Just because he was returned to Michigan doesn't mean the owner doesn't already has a deal to either sell or give the horse away to someone who wants him.

Hopefully this is true and the horse is safe on a farm. Connections got greedy and it backfired. Anyone with half a brain would have known their plot would blow up in their face.
