Does anyone truly know what the plan is for this historic track?

For those of us of a certain vintage, Freehold was the playground of our better years. I personally loved the few times I went there, with all the shady characters on the tarmak, larry lederman calls, cat mazi's stiff jobs, jackie Mo's pike jobs from the outside at a big price. No game can afford to lose places like Freehold.

Freehold died years ago and was officially dead when a guy who wasn't fit to sell a pretzel outside the place became the leading trainer Nick Surick.  All you cowards didn't do a thing for years

I just looked into my crystal ball and saw a big bulldozer flattening it out and new mcmansions being erected on the site.

Why didn't Bruce Springsteen buy it?

Tickets for his shows costs thousands of $$.

Freehold would be pocket change for him.

the property is considered an historical landmark/site

the state/township/county would need to sanction any development

but the plan is to build homes and/or condos on the existing land

If your'e talking about the "guy" in NJ. still in jail. Probably Brennan, first jersey securities, that was GSP not Freehold.

For what reason would he have any interest in buying Freehold. Because he likes horses and is from the area? You can up something that makes sense

Yes, he doesn't get out til Oct 2027, he's at Lewisburg fed prison. They wear sandals there, not shoes, so he fits right in.
