he still isnt clean.  i dont care how cheap they fit. and yes  irvine was a passenger.  he ended up second over and just held on.  im sure the instructions were something like  hey kid dont get locked in.  i actually bet that horse.

He has a smart business plan. He gets these horses that fit cheap conditions and then sells them. I haven't seen any in the past that have become real nice open-type horses. If you notice, Burke rarely buys these imports anymore. He tested this market and had the same results: Beat cheap and then move on.

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.
