According to the USTA's latest Fines and Suspensions, trainer Lisa Z at Saratoga got a TCO2 positive last year on 03-09-2024. She was fined $2500 and given a 75-day suspension. Apparently, she appealed and had a hearing on 02-28-2025 (note: almost a full year later). The result of that hearing was a doubling of the fine amount to $5000 and a full year suspension (03-06-25 thru 03-05-26). What the hell happened? Did it have anything to do with it being a second offense? Either way, if she didn't appeal would the original fine and suspension stood?BTW, the horse (MR DUNNIGANS) finished 5th in the race he got the TCO2 positive.Babi
It was just a couple of years ago that she couldn't lose. Who is Paul Zabielski? He is the trainer now
You'd think they would put the baking soda away! Lol
Lisa was a leading trainer a couple years ago but was on Facebook 24/7
