in 2022/2023 when the market was lower than it is now the left wanted to say no dont worry about it the stock market has nothing to do with the economy.
now its a crash we will never come back from. yet, we were way lower in 22/23
massive dips in 22/23. way bigger than now.
the left is just sensationalizing it cause they dont like trump.
didnt here a word  in 22/23.

Correct. At the closing bell yesterday, The DOW and NAZ both closed higher than they did exactly 1 year ago on April 4,2024. There was no one screaming crash then.

just wait until Monday. The best - I mean the worst, is yet to come
The US economy post Covid was the envy of all G7 nations. Our recovery was quicker; our inflation was much lower than in other countries.
This tariff idea is another money scam cooked up by the king of scams. If you aren't heavy into crypto, you're sunk. If you're relying on Social Security, start praying. If you're waiting for retirement to tap into your 401k, good luck.
Once again, the biggest benefactor from needlessly crashing the economy will be the guy who can't make side deals with big business and other countries without any oversight.
This is non political; it's a fact based analysis of what lies ahead.

Inflation was lower when Trump was President. Biden took over and it rose. Not an opinion but a fact.

if you spend 3 minutes looking at the consumer price index historical chart, inflation began in mid 2020, when Trump was President. It rose until August 2022, when it began to decline. It was in decline faster than any other country in the modern world.
You can cherry pick all you like but inflation began under Trump. It took 2+ years to halt it. It fell steadily when Biden was President.
Biden never declared bankruptcy 6 times; Trump has.
Biden was never charged with a crime; Trump is a convicted felon.
There was a time in this country when the most popular politicians (think Kennedy or Reagan maybe) would have been forced to resign by Rs and Ds both if they were even indicted of 1 felony. Fox News has brainwashed millions into giving Trump a pass on serious criminal behavior. P

If you would like, I can post 100 other links claiming the same numbers, none of which are from Fox News.

Regardless if Inflation was up under Biden, it was still less then the entire western world , had come way down when he left and has not come down under Trump and will likely go back up. Also inflation was a symptom of Covid, last week is a symptom of stupidity.

Biden took alot of blame when inflation was very high, but it wasn't really his fault. No matter who was President after COVID, inflation was going to rise dramatically as manufacturers started price gouging to make up for lost revenue during COVID. Unfortunately alot of grocery prices continue to rise due to greed by manufacturers because consumers have been willing to pay them, if they stopped buying them, the prices would start coming down.

This may just be one of the most uneducated posts, I have ever seen. Yes, the market was lower then, but it went UP, because of sound financial principles, and when Biden took office the DJIA was at 31,188.38 If you you'd like to compare apples to apples, during Biden's first 60 days in office,
the stock market rose 2%. During our current President's first 60 days, the market has LOST 7%!!! Need I remind you
that that your orange haired fuckhead has cost the market TEN TRILLION DOLLARS!  Just so we're clear, since WW II, the United States economy has performed SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER on average under the administrations of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents. The difference is found in economic metrics including job creation, GDP growth, stock market returns personal income growth, and corporate profits.

      Sincerely, Silent One

the white house put out a statement saying the stock market is only one indicator of the economy. we will not only look at one indicator.

All I know is groceries haven't gone up and gas is cheaper. I've lost quite a bit in the market but it has been down before and rebounded. Also, the sun came up this morning which if you listened to the left, there was some question of that happening.

Correct. The stock market is not the economy. I expect the economy will be far worse, many talking recession already.
