For some reason people want to relive the past and think he can regain the magic he once had. It's been obvious the past couple of years driving in Maine, against mediocre drivers at best, that the magic is no longer there, and he's not an upgrade from most drivers.

He'll never be what he was, no one is when they age,  but he will make a far better living racing at Plainridge on their 3 days a week. Maine races on his off days so he'll drive 5 days a week. In the summer, 6 or 7 days a week. He won't get the top trainer picks, but he will get his share. From what I have seen so far, he should hold his own.

Correct!  And he is another option that trainers/owner have compared to who else is available to drive.  I'd like to have this option, if I can't get a top driver(s) to sit behind my horse.

Walter Case, in his prime, was a very talented driver. He was a great driver. If you don't think so, so be it, as you are entitled to be a fool. You are also entitled to be an even bigger fool if you think he accomplished what he did, performed how he did, and so on.....because he was on drugs ALL THE TIME. He didn't win ALL his races while he was on drugs. He passed drug tests, more than once actually. It is simply a fact.

Now, you can debate all you want how often he was on drugs, how many races he won while on drugs, and so on and so on. Go right ahead. I never stand in the way of stupidity.

Today, from what I gather, Walter is clean and sober from drugs. He admits that he drinks. I am sure with that knowledge many people here will say he's a drunk, an alcoholic, has a drinking problem, and wins all his races because he's drunk. Have at it.

The only FACT in your long winded entry is that Case was a drug addict. Everything else is your opinion which I have found to be worthless.
