Correct! And he is another option that trainers/owner have compared to who else is available to drive. I'd like to have this option, if I can't get a top driver(s) to sit behind my horse.1-win yesterday and his 5% was about $ 250![/quote He is getting drives there for someone who just barged into that circuit. He has scared Greg Merton away. ]
The only FACT in your long winded entry is that Case was a drug addict. Everything else is your opinion which I have found to be worthless.

He lost his prime time due to drugs and a attempted murder charge. The guy has yet to win a race in Maine this year wake the fuck up. If he was as good or like god like you people think he would be getting the live drives he doesn't get the live drives because he is a shadow of what he use to be. He's washed up! Wake up!
MCR, I agree and disagree with you. There's no argument that Walter is not even close to what he was in the 80's. But as a Mainer, I see him race with what I consider a very average driving colony here. And he does not stand out as anything special to the rest of them. Young ones like Mitch Cushing and Matty Athern run from here seeking better racing venues and more money. The realtionships between trainers and drivers are pretty consistent at Plainridge and it won't be easy for Walter to get good drives. I think as the meets gets going, he might pick up some "live"mounts.
Walter Case was one of the most overrated drivers to ever sit behind a horse. You clowns judge drivers and horses by their quality wins so ask yourself, how many big wins does he have in his resume? Breeders Crowns? Triple Crowns? Meadowlands Pace? North American Cup? ?
FYI, look at the current Plainridge Park driving colony! Not many of these drivers have Breeders Crown, Triple Crown, Meadowlands Pace, North American Cup, et al.I believe Walter drove at the Big M too!Walter also drove in 1 of the toughest driving colonies in the 1990's---Northfield Park!
Yes, Case drove at M1 in 1983.

Funny, how he is listed on 6 today and 2nd choice in 3 others for someone who is washed up and being boycotted. He already has won two at that track that has the highest overnight purses in the country including the Meadowlands. Trainers there are tripping over each other to get him to drive their horses.
Hatred aside, either you forgive and not forget his trespasses, or you don't. If you do, the reason(s) are whatever they are. And the same for if you don't. But, he's driving. If your hatred makes you feel better, good luck with that. He's not who or what he used to be, as a driver or as a person. Either you believe that or not. He's just looking to drive, make something of a living, and be clean and sober from whatever vices he chooses, one day at a time. Hate away.
