Fraud rampant throughout industry
« on: April 23, 2025, 11:16:54 PM »
Take a look at MIAMI VALLEY tonight......USTA director /Wagner horse visited the winner's circle and another winner owned by Chairman of USTA with the trainer listed as a female who never sat behind a horse in her life.....just the tip of the iceberg

Entire industry is in a downward spiral.  It may be more than a year or two...but the end is in sight.

I'm not sure on the timeline, but it certainly is in a downward spiral. Horrible to watch it crash and burn.

Have you noticed in that same 25 years some harness tracks have closed, some race only 2 days a week, and some are on life support?

I don't defend the industry, the sport, and especially not track ownership/management. However, is it that much different in many other industries? The art/auction world, with Christie's and Sotheby's. Chairman of Sotheby's got jail time. The stock market? Do people actually believe it is a fair and efficient market? Real estate?

Hey, that doesn't mean anything, nor does it help. But it also doesn't make this industry the exception. It's a shame being the norm too.

Yes, but I've also seen some new tracks spring up like Shenandoah, Oak Grove, and some others thrive and raise  purses like Plainridge and Miami Valley.....

Why is a trustee of NYSS and NYS Horse Breeding Development Fund telling breeders to downsize? The point of the fund is to grow. Unless of course the trustee also owns a breeding farm in direct competition with the people he's telling to downsize. https://youtube.com/live/2QNJqB38ieI?feature=share

It gets worse before it gets better.....then you have the purge and consolidation.... .and then the survivors survive and thrive because the rest have died off.
